This topic only applies to the BiZZdesign on-premise and hybrid solution.

Shared model packages and projects are stored on Horizzon. If you are working with a locally installed Enterprise Studio, you need to connect Horizzon to your Enterprise Studio before you can start working on model packages and projects.

Usually, if you have registered with Horizzon, you also have already connected Horizzon with Enterprise Studio. However, if you have received a Horizzon account via an identity provider in your organization (for example an Azure AD account), you still need to connect Horizzon to your local Enterprise Studio.

It is also possible that you need to add a second Horizzon or connect Horizzon again after it has been removed from Enterprise Studio.

The following ways are available to add a storage place (Horizzon) to Enterprise Studio:

  • Download the Horizzon configuration file (.jssc) in Horizzon, and drag the file onto the open Enterprise Studio application window.
  • Add the storage place via the Open menu in the Backstage view.
  • Add the storage place via the Enterprise Studio Options.
  • Add the storage via the Save As menu in the Backstage view (only for second and further storage places).

Accept all server certificates: If HTTPS is used to connect to Horizzon, this check box is available. If you select it, checking on certificates is relaxed, meaning that one could possibly communicate with an imposter Horizzon. Leave the check box blank if you do not want this. If you are not sure what to do, consult your application manager.

Proxy settings: If you are using a proxy server, it will automatically be detected when adding the storage place, and used for the connection between Enterprise Studio and Horizzon. However, if automatic detection does not work in your situation (for example due to security reasons), you can manually specify the proxy settings here. For more information, see Using a proxy for the storage place connectionIf you are not sure what to do, consult your application manager.

  3. Click Next to continue, and on the next page of the wizard, click Finish.

  4. A pop-up window of the Activity Console appears, in which you need to authenticate. How you sign in depends on your type of Horizzon account. The sign-in window will look accordingly. An example:

Horizzon is now available as a storage place in Enterprise Studio. Model packages and projects you have been invited to, are available on this location. You can open them and start working on them.
