End of life Bizzdesign Open API version 1.0 and beta versions

Availability of the Bizzdesign Open API version 1.0 and the beta versions will end on 1 May 2024. As of this date, you can only use version 2.0 or higher.

If you use the Bizzdesign Open API for data policies, please migrate to version 2.0 as soon as possible to continue to have your data processed correctly. If you do not use it for data policies, migrate to version 2.0 before 1 May 2024. After this date, the Open API version 1.0 will no longer be available.

End of life for creating PDF posters in Enterprise Studio

Availability of the option to create PDF posters of diagrams and views in Enterprise Studio will end in November 2023. The SVG poster option will remain available. It also remains possible to create PDF's using the print model function.

Until then, the functionality will enter the "Extended Support" state, during which Bizzdesign will limit support to priority 1 and 2 issues.

End of life for Active Directory (LDAP) as identity provider for Bizzdesign Horizzon

As of October 2023, Active Directory can no longer be used as identity provider for Bizzdesign Horizzon. User synchronization and authentication with Active Directory using LDAP will no longer be possible in Horizzon.

If you use the on-premise solution of Bizzdesign Horizzon for Windows (not the Linux-based version), you will need to move to Azure Active Directory or a SAML-based identity provider for Horizzon before then.

Until then, the functionality will enter the "Extended Support" state, during which Bizzdesign will limit support to priority 1 and 2 issues.

End of support for Microsoft SQL Server for Horizzon Server database

As of November 2022, Bizzdesign will stop supporting Microsoft SQL Server for the Horizzon Server database. From then on, only PostgreSQL will be supported. If you use the on-premise solution and run the database on Microsoft SQL Server, you must migrate your database to PostgreSQL before support for Microsoft SQL Server ends. For more information and instructions, please refer to Migrating the Horizzon Server database from Microsoft SQL Server to PostgreSQL.

The 3 November 2022 release is the last version that supports the use of Microsoft SQL Server and can be used for migrating to PostgreSQL.

Later releases will only support PostgreSQL.

End of support for Windows 8.1 for local Enterprise Studio

As of January 2023, Bizzdesign no longer supports Windows 8.1 as environment for local Enterprise Studio installations. With this, Bizzdesign follows the Windows lifecycle policy.

If you still use Windows 8.1, you are advised to upgrade to a newer Windows version, like Windows 10.

As of January 2023, Bizzdesign no longer supports Windows 8.1 as environment for local Enterprise Studio installations.

End of life for ArchiMate CSV import and export

Availability of the ArchiMate CSV import and export in Enterprise Studio will end in April 2022.

Until then, the functionality will enter the "Extended Support" state, during which Bizzdesign will limit support to priority 1 and 2 issues.

The Excel connection is available for import and export of ArchiMate model data. 

As of 26 April 2022 it is no longer possible to perform the ArchiMate CSV import and export. The functions are no longer available in Enterprise Studio.

End of life for Lean models

Availability of Lean models in Enterprise Studio will end in March 2022.

Until then, the functionality will enter the "Extended Support" state, during which Bizzdesign will limit support to priority 1 and 2 issues.

As of 5 May 2022 it is no longer possible to edit existing Lean models in Enterprise Studio. They can only be opened and deleted.

As of 16 April 2022 it is no longer possible to create new Lean models in Enterprise Studio. They can still be opened and edited.

End of support for InSite Lite

Support services for the reporting feature InSite Lite in Enterprise Studio will end in September 2021.

Until then, the feature will enter the "Extended Support" state, during which Bizzdesign will limit support to priority 1 and 2 issues.

InSite Lite is succeeded by Horizzon.

Support has ended per September 2021.

The feature may be removed from Enterprise Studio at some point after September 2022.

End of support for Internet Explorer

As of 1 January 2021, Bizzdesign no longer supports Internet Explorer as web browser for its applications. With this, Bizzdesign follows the Internet Explorer lifecycle policy.

If you are still using Internet Explorer, you are advised to use a different web browser, like Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari.

Support has ended per 1 January 2021.

As of 16 February 2022 it is no longer possible to use Internet Explorer as web browser for the Bizzdesign applications. However, Enterprise Studio and the Activity Console do still depend on the MSHTML/Trident engine.
