With the Team Platform functionality, you can track the progress of your model packages and work on model packages together with other people.

The Team Platform functionality includes the following features.
Tracking progress of model packages
By tracking the progress of model packages, you can keep track of the development of your model packages. All changes made to a model package are shown in a timeline. At any time can be seen what changes have been made. Changes can be undone, and the model package can be restored to a previous point in time.
Working together on model packages
Multiple users work together on one more shared model packages that are stored on a central storage place called the Team Server. Users make changes to the model packages and make these changes available to others.
Each participant has the possibility to include the contributions of others in a local copy of the model package. When working together on a model package, progress is also automatically tracked and shown in a timeline.
Working together on projects
A project allows a team to work on parts of a model package in isolation. A project is always based on a "master" model package. Like model packages, projects are stored on the Team Server, and changes are shared between contributing users. Since a project is based on a model package, there is the possibility to include changes made to the project into its master model package, and reverse.
Model-level access control
Working together on model packages and projects supports model-level access control. When a model package or project is shared for working together, edit permissions for the package or project can be assigned to the invited users to determine which parts of the model package or project they can edit for contributing.
When working together on model packages and projects, the Team Server is used. The Team Server is a central storage place for shared model packages and projects, and a management environment for the packages, projects, and participating users. The Team Server also acts as a license server for working with Enterprise Studio. Working together on model packages and projects is only possible if a Team Server has been installed and if users are registered with it.
For the registration of all actions performed within the context of the Team Platform work, Enterprise Studio uses the Activity Console. The Activity Console registers all activities users have performed when working on model packages and projects.
In order to be able to work together on a model package or project, the model package or project must be shared. This is done by inviting people to contribute. Users can invite other users, but can also be invited. Users can be invited in Enterprise Studio, but also via the Team Server.
Each contributing user has a local copy of a shared model package or project, in which the user applies the changes. When a user commits the changes, this contribution is saved in the central model package or project on the Team Server and stored on the other participating users' computers by means of synchronization.
By viewing the Activity Console users can see which activities have been performed within the context of the collaboration. A user can include contributions of other users in the local copy of the model package by updating the copy of the model package or project.
Collaboration on a model package or project can be ended by a user or for a user.
