Only available in the BiZZdesign on-premise solution.
Important events in the Team Server are logged and stored for easy retrieval and inspection. The following main types of events are logged:
- System events: These events are generated by the system, such as the "Server Started" event. System events do not log any remote address (i.e. IP address) as it originates from the local system, nor do they register any event user as the system caused the event.
- External events: These events are generated by external parties that are not authenticated with the Team Server, so there is no "event user" that caused the event. For these events, the remote address (i.e. IP address) is logged. These events include failed sign-in attempts.
- User-generated events: These events are generated by authenticated users (for which the IP address was logged at authentication time), and ensure that the user that triggered the event is logged.
For each event a sequential event number is logged, the date and time the event occurred and the name of the event. Depending on the event various other relevant information is logged and stored in the event details, which shows a raw format of all data collected for the event.
Viewing the audit log
- In the sidebar menu, click Settings > Audit log. The audit log page is shown.
By default, the latest 100 events are loaded. To log older events, go to the bottom of the page and click the control.
The data is saved for at least 30 days, based on the date and time of the event.
Viewing event details
To view the details of a logged event, click a plus in the Details column. The details of the event are shown in a separate box. The text can be copied for external use.
