When importing data using Excel or using ADOdb, date and money values are not always recognized as such. ADOdb exports dates as text and money as number values. As a result, the format of imported date and money values is unknown. To prevent this from happening, values from column objects linked to a date or money attribute are automatically converted to the right format.

If you do not want these values to be automatically converted, or if you want to change the format of the money and/or date values to be imported, do as follows:

  • Click the column in the mapping table, click  to open the Properties window, and change the following settings, depending on the changes you want to make:

Column object linked to money attribute

Convert number to money: Click the  to deactivate the conversion (). Values from this attribute will no longer be converted to money values when imported.
Currency: Click the box with the currency, and select a different currency to change the format of the values to be imported. You do not need to set an amount.
