If a master model package has changed, these changes are not automatically included in the projects based on it. It prevents unwanted changes from unsolicited entering the projects. To include the changes on a master model package in its projects, you need to update the projects with contributions from the master model package. To be able to do this you need to be invited to the project as well as its master model package.
When updating your project all available contributions will be included. It is not possible to include only part of the contributions.
- On the File tab, click Manage Project, and then click Update Project.
- The available contributions are shown.
Click Update to include the contributions from the master model package in your project.
If the update (also) includes a contribution with configuration changes, this configuration contribution is shown (first), indicated with the icon. Click Update to perform this configuration update. Your project now has a new configuration.
If there are any regular contributions left, continue updating these.
You can now continue working on the project.
If the Update button is not available, but instead the following message appears, it means that the master model package is not available to include the contrbutions from. The master model package must have been opened at least once in your Enterprise Studio in order to make it active. So first open the master model package (and close it again), and then try to update the project again.
